Trauma therapy for adults, in English and Russian
What hurt — heals.
I'm Kate Katkouskaya, a Registered Psychotherapist. I offer online therapy to adults anywhere in Ontario who are living with trauma, PTSD and anxiety — and with the way these show up in relationships and in how you see yourself.
Therapy for trauma, PTSD, anxiety and relationships
I work with adults across Ontario whose past experiences are still showing up in the present — in their body, their sleep, their relationships, and the way they talk to themselves. Sessions are online, in English or Russian.
-
Therapy for single-incident trauma (an accident, an assault, a sudden loss) and for the effects of long-term or childhood trauma. Flashbacks, nightmares, feeling on edge, avoiding reminders, or feeling numb and disconnected.
-
Constant worry, panic attacks, a racing mind, tension you can't switch off — especially when anxiety is connected to things that happened before.
-
Trouble trusting, fear of closeness or of being left, repeating painful patterns, conflict that escalates quickly. Individual therapy for how trauma and anxiety affect your relationships.
-
Harsh self-criticism, shame, feeling "not enough," or not knowing who you are outside of what you've been through.
About Kate Katkouskaya, RP
I'm Kate Katkouskaya, a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario. I work online with adults living with trauma, PTSD and anxiety — and with what they leave behind: relationships that don't feel safe, and an inner voice that won't let up.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent seven years coaching people one-on-one — helping them regulate their emotions, set goals, and work through hard things. That work made me practical. Since then, I've completed more than 2,500 hours of psychotherapy with clients, and it lets me go deeper — to the experiences underneath the patterns.
I don't believe in spending years managing around pain. I believe in understanding it, so you can move through it — at a pace your nervous system can handle.
I'm direct. I'll tell you what I see, honestly and with care. I come prepared, I follow through, and I stay steady when things get hard.
I offer therapy in English and Russian.

How to Start
Free 15-minute call
A short video or phone call to talk about what's bringing you in and whether working together feels like a fit.
2. First session
Some people need time to settle in. Others come ready to dive in. Either way works — we start where you are, not where a checklist says.
3. Ongoing sessions
Most people come weekly. That's where the real work happens: untangling old patterns, getting to know yourself better, and clearing space for how you want to live.
